Call Day 2008

After counting down the days for the last several months Call Day 2008 finally arrived. Today, Eric received his Divine Call to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Columbus, GA to serve as pastor. We are so excited to get to our new congregation and home! We are thankful for the support of our home church, District, Synod, family and friends through these 4 exciting years. The next big milestone is graduation, followed by ordination and installation into Redeemer. We'll likely have some more updates as the move gets closer.

  • Congratulations, Pastor-elect!

I got a little excited when I saw "Columbus", but then you're going down to Georgia, not Ohio. :)

I hope you can post more about some of the cool surprises you run into. Peace!

  • As president of the congregation, Welcome to our church! We are all so excited to meet you and your family and welcome you into the Redeemer family! We are proud of Columbus, we are the home of the AFLAC duck and many other international companies. Please let us know if there is any way we can help make your transition easier. May God bless your remaining time at the seminary and your transition to Columbus.

  • Welcome to Redeemer Lutheran Church. As an Elder and Vice President of the congregation, I also look forward to a long and fruitful ministry with you and the family. I noticed a link to a cycling blog and would like to tell you about the riverwalk in Columbus, GA. Many cyclists enjoy the trek from downtown to Fort Benning and back. If there is anything I can do to help you in this transition, please let me know.

    In Christ!
